4. SUBJECT

The essence of the Coulours of Humanity Arts Prize is to promote Diversity, Equity, and inclusion. The annual theme "Our Changing World” as described above is open to interpretation by the artist and it is not a requirement that the work deal specifically with situations in Hong Kong. For additional inspiration please consider the descriptions of all three Awards, including ‘Climate Change and displacement’, and ‘inclusive society without limitations and prejudices’. We encourage artists to submit works that explore the themes in a thought-provoking and creative way.

5. LEGAL RESTRICTIONS

We request that all works submitted are fully compliant with Hong Kong laws.

6. SELECTION

The main prize will be anonymously selected by the judging panel based on five criteria:

a) Theme Interpretation: How well the artwork aligns with the annual theme and reflects the concept of diversity and inclusion.

b) Artistic Excellence: The overall quality of the artwork, including technical skill, composition, and execution.

c) Creativity and Originality: The uniqueness and innovative approach taken by the artist to convey their message.

d) Message and Narrative: The clarity and strength of the artwork's underlying message and storytelling.

e) Social Impact: The potential of the artwork to spark meaningful discussions and contribute positively to society's understanding of diversity and inclusion.

The work receiving the highest number of aggregated votes is the winner. The decision of Justice Centre on all matters relating to the judging, vote and competition will be final.
