The “Colours of Humanity” Arts Prize 2023 is now open for entries to all artists based in Hong Kong. Entries will close at 5pm on 25 September 2023.
We welcome all forms of audio-visual art, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, and mixed media. The theme of the exhibition is "Our Changing World," and we encourage artists to submit works that explore this theme in a thought-provoking and creative way
We will be judging the entries based on the following criteria:
1. Theme Interpretation: How well the artwork aligns with the annual theme and reflects the concept of diversity and inclusion.
2. Artistic Excellence: The overall quality of the artwork, including technical skill, composition, and execution.
3. Creativity and Originality: The uniqueness and innovative approach taken by the artist to convey their message.
4. Message and Narrative: The clarity and strength of the artwork's underlying message and storytelling.
5. Social Impact: The potential of the artwork to spark meaningful discussions and contribute positively to society's understanding of diversity and inclusion.
Shortlisted artworks will be announced in mid-October and showcased in an exhibition open to the public at the Goethe Gallery and Black Box Studio from 30 November 2023 until 14 January 2024. Winners will be announced at the Opening and Awards Presentation on November 30, 2023.
